Houston (USA)~12.0 Mcbm (~75M+ Barrels) IMTT (Bayonne), Kinder Morgan, Buckeye Partners. The largest refined petroleum product hub on the US East Coast. It serves as the physical delivery point for NYMEX heating oil and gasoline futures.
Houston Harbor Infrastructure: IMTT Bayonne operates the single largest independent liquid bulk facility in this harbor (~16 million barrels / 2.5 Mcbm of storage capacity), feeding the massive Colonial, Buckeye, and Harbor pipelines directly into the US Northeast.
The “Capability over Capacity” Shift: Global operators in these specific locations are increasingly shifting capital from building brand-new tanks toward upgrading existing infrastructure specifically investing in vapor recovery, advanced chemical blending, and digital twin automation to generate higher margins per cubic meter.
